Davis has successfully quit smoking with the support of our stop smoking advisors in Wakefield. Here's his story, in his own words:
"I was working at Next, South Elmsall when I became aware that Yorkshire Smokefree were in the canteen promoting their services and offering 12 week support to enable people to quit smoking.
I knew this was for me; I no longer enjoyed smoking and was trying to eat healthier and provide a better environment for my family at home. I took a vape from the Community Connector and attended support sessions at the Millennium Community Hall, near to home, after work either weekly or fortnightly.
If I am honest this whole experience was a lot easier than I thought it would be, my advisor has been supportive, and we have explored different ways to make quitting easier and also reduce the reliance on the vape through the process.
I am now 12 weeks smoke free; I have more energy and am proud of myself.”
