Harry- an update

Harry first shared his story with us at 8 weeks quit. He's now reached the 12 week milestone and came back into his Sheffield clinic to give us an update. Here's what he told us...

I grew up in Hong Kong and started smoking when I was around 15 years old. Cigarettes were easy to get hold of, and before I knew it, smoking had become a part of my everyday life. As I got older, I realised I wanted to make some positive changes and become a healthier version of myself. I knew that giving up smoking was an important step towards that goal.

One of my biggest passions is playing rugby, and I could really feel the impact smoking was having on my fitness. I was getting out of breath more quickly and struggled to perform at my best. Since quitting, I've noticed a huge difference. I can play for longer, recover more quickly, and enjoy the game much more. I also love hiking, and now I'm able to stay out for longer walks without feeling exhausted. Even everyday things, like climbing the stairs, have become much easier.

The benefits haven't just been physical. I'm sleeping better, I have more energy, and I'm saving money too. Overall, I feel healthier, fitter, and much more positive about my lifestyle.

I decided to stop smoking because I wanted to improve my life and invest in my future. Looking back, it's one of the best decisions I've made. My advice to anyone thinking about quitting is simple: it's absolutely worth it, but the timing has to be right for you. When you're ready and committed to making the change, the benefits are incredible.

Huge congratulations on your quit, Harry and thanks for sharing your story with us! You are a real inspiration!
