Quit Smoking for Ramadan 2018

Ramadan is one of the most important events of the Islamic calendar as it is a time for fasting, praying, forgiveness and purification. It is seen as a time to start positive habits, making it an ideal time to stop smoking.

Yorkshire Smokefree is at hand in the run up to Ramadan for Muslims to receive support with stopping smoking before the holy month begins.

If you’re worried about how you will get through Ramadan without smoking, we are here to help. Visiting our service before Ramadan begins on the 15th May gives you time to prepare for the challenge with nicotine replacement products. Going ‘cold turkey’ isn’t the best option – nicotine withdrawal and cravings can be very difficult to manage.

Remember, fasting alone is hard but doing it at the same time as nicotine withdrawal is even harder.

Yorkshire Smokefree have worked with thousands of Muslims throughout Yorkshire, both before and during Ramadan and throughout the rest of the year. Our stop smoking experts are all NHS trained and can provide long term support to anyone who feels they may need it. If you’re quitting for your health or for your faith, it doesn’t matter, we are here to help you quit for good.

Let’s work together this year and make Ramadan 2018 the year you stop smoking all together.
