After contacting the telephone support service, the lady listened to me tell my story for over an hour!!
I had so many questions! Even when we were talking about alternative methods and I was advised about placing a lozenge in the side of my cheek to which I replied “ I can’t do that – leave a sweet in my mouth – id just chew and eat it” she didn't give in. We kept on talking each option through until I found one that I was happy with. I've opted for the mouth spray and I will let you know how this is going in my future posts.
It couldn’t have been any easier and when my prescription arrived I went nervously to collect it from the chemist.
I received some tips through the post and I have had my nicotine replacement sat on my dressing table for the last week, getting used to seeing it and making those final preparations, in my head, of building up to using it.
The beauty of it all is as a busy working mum, they phone me when I’m free – no trying to get to a building in the middle of the day to talk to a non-smoking 16 year old about how to stop (apologies to any non-smoking 16 year old in the field of work – but it is hard to relate as a smoker to someone who you feel has no idea of how this habit has shaped our world!!)View all
